Hi all,
New to this community and looking forward to exploring MoOde!
I have been trying to find a guide on how to stream Tidal. I've seen some threads on using Audirvana, but isn't there a direct way to do this on the Raspberry Pi device? I am looking for a solution that would not use any additional devices, if possible.
I am a Tidal subscriber, and streaming unadulterated Master quality materials would be my main target.
For clarification, I am using an RPI 4/4GB, WaveIO/DDDAC1543 on USB to RPI. On different environments - Windows 10 w/ appropriate driver - I've been able to run my DAC up to 24/192 on other material.
Overall, I don't seem to be able to figure out how to enable the full library (streaming/internet radio, Tidal/Qobuz, etc.), or maybe it's very limited?...

In order to stream Tidal to Moode you will have to use an additional device that runs an app such as Bubble UPnP, MConnect or Linn Kazoo.

Thank you! I think I got it. I got Bubble UPnP on my Android phone, and can select a renderer (it took a while to figure where that button is.......). it sends it to the MoOde RPI.

I'm not interested in Tidal, Tidal Connect, MQA, yada yada yada.
Looking dispassionately at the referenced github repo, I see a readable script and a LICENSE file. However, the script pulls in binaries from another github repo which says it got them from yet another github repo. They both include various licenses but in a quick search of strings in the two binaries I assume are the core functionality I didn't find any clues of authorship so I don't know if the licenses apply or not. I could not find sources for the binaries.
A Google search reveals a number of github repos besides this one, presumably set up by different devs, which seem to have identical wording in their almost useless README.md files:

I found that repository called ifi-tidal-release here on github, created by ppy2. Included are some binaries and some scripts. The names of the binaries intended that this is a tidal connect client. Because the lack of any description i downloaded the repo and play around with the included stuff.
I would approach this code with extreme caution.
And as Tim likely would say, this is unsupported by the moOde project.

Right. The code in that repo appears to be a copy of software and authentication certificates from a paticular manufacturers audio device.
There will prolly be some other audio players that will adopt this code and offer a "plugin".

The git repo you linked to provides a poorly written shell script and gives poor advice on how to run it (never just pipe a public shell script from the internet to a shell without first being sure what it will do)
The script attempts to install specific versions of libraries that may or may not fail and may or may not break other tools on your system.
It then depends on being able to download a proprietary Tidal Connect binary from ifi audio's Git repo which I presume was public by accident as it is now no longer publicly available.
To summarize, this script isn't a solution, will no longer work, might break your Moode install in the process of running it and might've caused trouble for ifi audio.
On the other hand streaming Tidal over UPnP using a UPnP client will work fine.
