Nope, it didn't like that:
Probably a corrupted file somewhere, the update on the Allo went just fine.
No worries, I'll do a clean full install tomorrow....or maybe over the weekend, or maybe next week.....ah, the joys of being retired.
Cheers

The log shows incorrect OS and kernel version which indicates a modified/broken image. The 7.3.0 release ships with RaspiOS 10.6 and kernel 5.4.77 which are the only versions that are supported. http://moodeaudio.org
Code: RaspiOS = 10.10
Linux kernel = 5.10.17-v7l+ #1421
Thanks. I did a apt upgrade when trying to fix the problem. If I am the only one with the problem I will reinstall and try again.

Hi All,
Not really a bug or issue but a question here. Tim wrote:
Quote:Be sure to BACKUP your system before applying this update.
What exactly is the best way to do that? A quick perusal of the forums shows that 'moodeutl -e' is incomplete, and third-party backup/clone utilities can be twitchy.
I could just put my SD card in my PC and copy the whole thing off to a file with dd, but that seems rather crude. Or I could just update with no backup, like I've always done before.

Unless Tim has the image setup in an unusual way, Win32 DiskImage will do exactly what you want.

Same behavior as mine, and I am not sure if spotify render is using any EQ or respect any other settings. I cannot see the AUDIO INFO anymore with spotify (before was i little tricky but it was possible from any other screen)
a new fresh image fix the problem (i saved moodecfg.ini to make it quickly). Maybe there is a bug on upgrade script, something messing with the spotify overlay vs mdp
I've just done an inline update to 7.3.0 and I also see this oddness in the Spotify renderer.
Yes a bug due to a missing file in the the update package :-0
A new package was uploaded just a bit ago but it may take some time before the AWS CloudFront caches are refreshed.

Is there a way to get this to apply to an already upgraded system Tim?

(This post was last modified: 07-02-2021, 10:49 AM by ElliottDesigns.
Edit Reason: adding more information
)
Hi, New user here, and having a few struggles.
Few things you might want to know about my setup:
1. Using camillaDSP as a crossover and EQ for a single 2-way speaker.
2. I am only using one speaker since I only have two outputs, and this means I have combined L/R inputs in CamillaDSP into each output before any processing is done (to make it mono).
These may or may not be useful information, but I included them anyway just in case.
I have a few struggles/issues.
I am using the Bluetooth pairer so I can connect my phone to the Pi4 with just a tap in my Bluetooth settings on my phone rather than having to go into the interface.
However, I can only get this to work if I reset the Bluetooth controller after boot first which is a real pain, especially since I am trying to set it up for other people to use (that aren't tech-minded and can't operate the web interface controls).
Bass seems limited when using Bluetooth but I don't know whether it's down to Bluetooth or not because I can't figure out how to put files on the root micro sd card... (I'm figuring maybe CamillaDSP isn't being applied to the Bluetooth input audio???)
My third and final issue has been trying to get music files onto the internal SDCard, at least for testing/when nothing else is working. I have tried putting it in a folder called music inside of root, and quickly realised this wasn't the proper way to do it. I then found out about samba share and tried to add a network drive of \\moode\SDCARD in windows 10 but it said it couldn't find it, but the information I used might be outdated anyway so it's best to check.
Hope you can help!
Many thanks,
Elliott Dyson

Android Bluetooth seems to be hit or miss with the Bluetooth stack in RaspiOS 10.6 / kernel 5.4.77 which are the versions used in moOde 7.3.0. We plan to bump to current versions in an upcoming release. No timing on this yet.
The DSP options aren't generally compatible with Bluetooth inbound or outbound, at least I couldn't figure out how to get them to work.
Try \\moode\SDCard
