Here I am again!
Selected the in place update....from 8.3.0 to 8.3.2, and this time did a backup before proceeding.
After rebooting....have the same problem I experienced on attempting to update to 8.3.1 earlier this week.
I can reach the config page.....but then can't access anything on that page.
So can't even reinstate the 8.3.0 working install......
I must be doin' something wrong???
It occurs that I should add....Rpi4 connected via USB to Topping E50.....just noticed Shutdown not working either.

I am unable to repro the behavior you describe.
My test case: Pi4B with 64bit moOde 8.3.0 freshly installed. Checked the availability of a software update, and executed it.
The update process took a little more than 5 minutes over a WiFI connection to my cable company's router. About 3 of those minutes were spent just in updating the kernel. Here's the log I grabbed from the command line

You did wait long enough for the update process to complete, right?
I rebooted and moOde 8.3.2 is now running. I can (re)configure it, play tracks, shut it down, reboot it, yada yada yada.
Sorry, I don't know what to advise you to do.
ETA - Of course you can return to a fresh install of 8.3.0 and apply the configuration backup you made.
Regards,
Kent

I'm not able to repro either. The 830 -> 832 update worked fine. I tested 64-bit.
There was one glitch in the new Status screen though. It didn't show any progress during the update. Thats a side effect of having to move all the log files to standard /var/log/ location and should not be an issue in > 831.

....I certainly reached the penultimate line, as shown in your log.
Thanks, but rather than go the upgrade route again....I installed 8.3.2 from scratch....so up and running now.

No issues with 8.3.2 and Boss or miniBOSS DAC's on my end.

Here the same, after in place update from 8.3.0 to 8.3.2. Then the same problem with a fresh 8.3.2 install. Went back to 8.3.0 and everything is back to normal.

I'm not able to repro but if you want troubleshooting you need at a minimum to post the startup log for the system that is experiencing the issue.

Tim, no, I am not looking for troubleshooting. Just thought it might be helpful for you to know that there is one case more with 8.3.2 problems.
Please let me know if I can provide any data helping to identify the problem. But have in mind my Raspberry is already back to 8.3.0 and I am not exactly a Linux expert.
