For the past year ( or more ) been running 6.x. Recently, tried to install 8.3.2 but have not been able to get the wireless config to work. With clean image install on network screen message pops up telling my AP password is required. I know that message never popped up on version 6 so looking for a little help with wifi config on latest version.
Thanks

The Download page at moodeaudio.org has a link to the Setup Guide that explains the new security configuration and how to use the Raspberry Pi Imager to create an SSH userid/password and optional WiFi SSID/password on the image before writing it to the boot media.
If you don't create the WiFi SSID/password using the Pi Imager then connect the Pi via Ethernet and use the Network Config screen to enter them as well as the Access Point password.

Thank you for the tips. Basically I use the moode network to access the network config where I scan for other networks in my case that is Orbi router and two satellites. I add the pw used to login to the network router and then hit save. After rebooting the device my Orbi router can not find the new device but has no problem show my other devices running moode ( these were set up months ago and they play music just fine) My guess router is allowing the moode device to connect correctly. I'll report back finding and hopefully will have good news.

I have been struggling for two days and countless fresh image installs but so far no luck getting my home network to recognize the new moode device. I just would like to know if my process is correct.
With new image in the Pi I connect my computer to the network moode. The I am able to navigate to network config page.
Scan for wireless networks and select Orbi, which is my home wireless router. FYI router is not a new addition had it since 2017 and works with well finding dozens of devices in the home.
I then type in the PW for the Orbi network and hit save and then restart.
Upon reboot my computer network switched automatically back to Orbi.
Then I log into my router using same PW as used for moode so I can see the attached devices. Unfortunately I am not able to find the new IP for moode device.
Have I missed any steps? Assuming I have not I'll contact Netgear to see if they have any solution.
Many thanks,
Tim

How are you writing your new moOde image? Are you using the Raspberry Pi imager and setting the the username and password in the options as per the new process? If you are, try also setting the wireless SSID and password in the imager.
If you are not setting the user and password in the Raspberry Pi Imager, then this might just be your problem.

I use the official moOde download and the Raspberry Pi imager. Unfortunately, I was lazy and did not read the setup guide and have not been actively participating in the forum for a year or more... Big mistake!
Yes I have been trying setup wireless config from within moOde which apparently can't be done now. I'll need to go read the setup guide carefully and follow the new process.
BTW Been using moOde exclusively since 3.4, been a great journey so far. Just curious to know why it was necessary to created the " new process"?
Take care
