[PROBLEM] GUI anomaly ?

I have an oddity to report.  First, let me say that my system is working.  But am seeing in the "Configuration->Audio"
a GUI oddity.   Here is a screen shot where you cannot specify the "Named I2S device" or the "DT overlay".  It you look right above those you see the "Volume Type" SET button is active.  The Volume Type is successfully set to Fixed (0db Output) and the SET button has been pressed (many times).

RPi 4 w/8 Gigs Moode version: "8.3.6 2023-09-05"

   

I did the moodeutl -l and it shows it does have the right card and the right mixer channel) as I said, all is working well)

It's not obvious to me how named i2s device shows None after you must have initially configures it to the hifiberry device ??

Right! I must have had it in there to start with as it all works (as the log shows).

I have another instance of Moode that uses the hifiberry-digi-pro device and it is the same on that one. All works but "Configure->Audio" shows those two fields as "NONE" and will not activate the "SET" button after you select the device from the drop down list. Software volume is set on that instance and works fine....

The "moodeutl -l" Log on this instance shows all the right settings are present, as well.

Its a head scratcher :-)

What was displayed when you originally configured the named i2s device and rebooted?

I am pretty sure that was seen until I did a lot of configuring with DSP. At some point I noticed the NONE/NONE and wondered. Because that does not match the actual (working) config.

Try turning off DSP.

Hmmmm that does not change anything.

NONE still shown, Drop down works and you can select the right device, prints it in the field, but the SET button never becomes active.

The best way to trouble an issue like this is to start with a fresh image and then step by step make your configuration until the issue happens. The steps just prior to the issue occurring should provide a starting point to begin investigating the code.
