My board is a new one purchased around Christmas from The Pi-Hut one of the recommended supliers. I notice that is doesn't show up in AlSA slot 0.

I have tried it on a 3B and got the same result and both my 2B and 3B have 40-pin GPIO headers (unless I can't count). I will try it on the 3B with a 64bit OS ( I had previously used the sd from the 2B. Failing that I also have a 4 and a 5 to try! For the record I am using a 19v 3.5A power supply.

I have tried a variety of combinations and have concluded that the Pi-DigiAMP+ card must be faulty as it is not being recognised by the software . I have applied to the suppliers for a replacement!
Many thanks to Tim and all the others for trying to assist me.
