Thanks for 9.0.0! - moOde is the best
The GUI seems to respond snappier on my 4B Pi than in the last version.
Squeezelite / CamillaDSP integration is as good as ever.
Could not wish for better sound quality.

LOVE IT

Are there any differences in sound quality between 9.0 and 8.3.9?

Thanks

9.0 is approximately 0.7.1 better.

Seriously though, I can't hear any difference but I'm a sceptic so might be not hearing changes because of my own bias Smile

Moode is truly the best !!!!!

I have been using moode since version 6 and with every release, even intermediate ones, I have always noticed improvements in the sound quality in my system.
When major releases are released I notice that the improvements are more important.

Last night I installed version 9 and I can perceive a warmer sound, real voices and more separated and detailed instruments.
From my experience I can confirm that the sound quality of this version is certainly better than the previous one.

My system consists of an RPI 4, SMSL D300 DAC, Naim Xs2 amplifier, a HICAP DR power supply, Dali Oberon 5 speakers.
If I can give some advice, I have also noticed that it is preferable to reinstall even the intermediate releases rather than upgrade especially when the OS is updated.

Thank you, thank you thank you to Tim for your enormous commitment to this fantastic project!

Thanks for the feedback about it working better on the RPi 4B, which is what I use too.

I'm quite curious about why the GUI would be snappier on 9.0.0, were any changes made to improve performance I wonder?

When the Moode 8 -> 9 restore from backup process is working, I will be upgrading too. I would certainly welcome a quicker GUI, it still feels sluggish but I blamed that on my massive playlist!

Thanks again Tim and the rest of the devs!

Just installed on a spare SD card and listening right now on my desktop setup (RPi4B+, Topping D10s, Audioengine A2+)

And maybe I want to hear it, but the SQ seems better than 8.3.9 on the same setup. Especially the balance, I always had the idea that in my system music was playing left of center like the left speaker was favored but that's not the case with 9.0.0.

What I also noticed is that the album view now gives sharp images for my covers, for some reason this was not the case for 8.3.9. Weird but true....

So massive thanks for this great system, will be upgrading the other players shortly as well!

I'm using it on 2 Pi 4s and a Pi 5.  For my needs it works.  I play local music from an NAS and stream from Qobuz as a UPNP renderer.  I haven't encountered any problems.  I've been using Moode since, IIRC, v 2 something.  Besides working, it satisfies my geeky predelictions better than other Pi music player software.
