Hi, may it is a bug in the 9.0.0 version,

It not possible to set the volume to hardware (fixed) only software volume exist,
If set to hardware after few second change back to software.
Previous 8.0 or before it was never happened.

This was fixed in the 9.0.1 release

Code:
- FIX: Fixed (0dB) reverts to Software vol for DAC's w/o Hardware volume
