RPI ssd

Hello folks, got a problem someone might be able to help me with.
I just recently bought an RPI5 and a Pimoroni SSD board for underneath, I got the moode software installed no problem onto the SSD and it loads without issue. The root partition I shrunk down to 10gb and the rest I formatted to ext4 and loaded music to it but though the software can see the partition I cannot see the music on it. What have I done wrong, of how can I rectify this please?

Your best bet it to leave moOde on an SD card and boot from there, then use the whole of the SSD for music. I believe if you want to have moOde on the SSD (or USB or anything like that) you need to let moOde partition things itself, which will in effect make the whole drive for moOde. The music can be loaded form there, but you would of course lose all the music when re-flashing a new moOde image.

You have rebuilt / updated the library, right...?

Yup, tried that several times, power off and back on, can see the drive but not the content!

Power OFF/ON is not a thing.
"m" => "Update library" is...

Reboot and then post the contents of the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from  any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.
Enjoy the Music!
