Hello,

Would it be possible to switch from digital clock to cover art when playing music ?

Also in cover art mode, it would be nice to have dB volume displayed.

The knob value is already displayed on the Player. Do you mean show the volume level somewhere when the Playbar is hidden?

actually my screen is configured to display cover art when it is playing and to go blank after 10 secs when moode is not playing because I don't want it to display covert art indefinitely when there's no sound.
Between the moment I press play and the moment cover art is displayed, there's an annoying latency of 8 secs.
Having the clock displayed, eventually with a nice moOde logo (maybe with volume level) besides it when player is inactive, would be much more elegant than displaying a black screen and the switch from digital clock to cover art would hopefully solve this problem of latency.

I hope I'm clear enough in my explanations.

The screen blank option on Peripheral Config actually sets an XServer timer that turns the display off after the specified time. I don't know any way to trap that event and do something else.

That latency seems pretty long. If I touch my 10" display while its blanked it activates almost instantly and Play/pause is also pretty much instant.

I don't use the touch interface, my screen is for display only.

Do you have moOde installed on SSD or on SD ? Mine is on SD.

It would still be nice to be able switch from digital clock to coverview when playing and vice versa rather than having a black screen, just my opinion.

Sure I can see a use case but the implementation would be very complex because CoverView itself is the screen saver for the main Playback view. Now we are talking about a screen saver for a screen saver...

Not sure if this would be any use, but could we launch the xscreensaver showing the time ?

Sure, here are all the files containing the terms "scnsaver" or "coverview". I would start with playerlib.js, scripts-panels.js and worker.php.

       

Testing modifications to the js or css source files requires bringing up a Gulp development environment because the runtime js and css code is bundled and minified.
