Chasing out 'Regenerate Database' problem issues
#1
As noted in my thread below concerning looking at logs in via SSH, I've now got a look at the mpd log while the infinite spinner is spinning as MoOde attempts to regenerate the database. The following are the last few lines of the log beginning with the last successful entry creation:

Code:
Apr 02 16:49:18 : update: added USB/2859-4AAE/music/Pop+/Albert Collins, Robert Cray, Johnny Copeland/Showdown/07_-_The_Dream_-_Albert_Collins,_Robert_Cray,_Johnny_Copeland.flac
Apr 02 16:49:18 : ffmpeg/flac: Format flac detected only with low score of 1, misdetection possible!
Apr 02 16:49:18 : ffmpeg/flac: Could not find codec parameters for stream 0 (Audio: flac, 0 channels): unspecified sample format
Consider increasing the value for the 'analyzeduration' (0) and 'probesize' (5000000) options
Apr 02 16:49:18 : ffmpeg: Unsupported libavcodec SampleFormat value: name   depth (?)
Apr 02 16:59:24 : mixer: Failed to read mixer for "ALSA Default": no such mixer control: PCM
My instinct suggests that I should review and clean any tag errors I might find (I use mp3tag). Do the entries above suggest anything more likely to be the issue? I eagerly await 9.3.1, but would like to learn from (and fix) my current issue.

Thanks in advance, of course,

Did you update MPD to 0.24.2 per the post-release patch mentioned in the release announcement?
https://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=7496

That seemed to fix the issue where the database update never completes.

After updating MPD, reboot then regenerate the music database (Library Config)

Yes, The spinner is the hang from my attempt at database regeneration on first boot with a new image, and the mpd log lines are all from that first run. @ils1974 entry in the 9.3.1 thread could be an issue with my situation. (' rather than " to escape names with spaces)

But no, I did not update MPD to 0.24.2. I'm on it.

I have no ideas to do this patch. I do not know how to do this.
I have only Moode and web connection.  And no knowledge of this os

I finally found how to do this

Configure
System
Security
Web SSH  on
Open  (SSH terminal)
Use the user and password when mount the image on the sd

And the patch....

Hi,
I have a similar issue; the library regeneration/update keep on going even if all the tracks are found.
The real annoying problem is that every time I turned off and than on my system, the library is lost, and I have to recreate it from scratch.
I tried to update the MPD to 0.24.2 or even 0.24.3 version but I still have the issue.
Thanks in advance!
