Having trouble connecting to Bluetooth with V5.

Seems to pair up ok and switches output to Bluetooth but when I hit play I get the attached message come up.

Also, sometimes when I switch back to local output I get a full screen message saying I'm connected to Bluetooth and the device name I'm connected to.

Apart from that the upgrade has gone well so far.

Cheers,

David.

Hi,

Are you doing Client -> moOde or moOde -> Bluetooth Speaker?

What are the exact steps to reproduce the issue? I'll try on my end.

I assume David meant moOde -> BT. His issue sounds reminiscent of http://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.p...32#pid8832

It's not convenient ATM to try repro'ing here and his issue may well be different but I thought it worth mentioning.

Good hunting.

Kent

Hi,

Sorry for late reply, been away for a few days.

Correct my issue is with connecting via BT from mOode to BT heaphones.

Cheers.

Hi,

Did a bit more testing this morning.

Pairing to a device works OK.

Playing via BT creates the error message I originally had.

If I then switch back to local, leaving the BT device paired, I get a message saying I'm connected to BT along with the name of the device I'm connected to but I can't get back to the moode main display unless I power off the BT device.

Cheers.

Whatever I do, I still keep getting playlist weirdness in Chrome on Android 9.

It vanishes from the playback screen and stubbornly refuses to display.

It's still there somewhere, as if you add to the playlist and play it mysteriously reappears.

I have a Problem with HDMI out (Audio).

On Moode 4.4 Sound works great over HDMI out. in Moode 5.0 (with zero config changes) there are big glitches / halts where no sound/signal is comming over HDMI.

- This happens from Radio Media Tab and NAS Sources and the Stereo test File
- This only happens on Moode 5.0 not 4.4 (same setup, same hardware) only other sdcard
- Happens with mpd 0.20.20 and 0.21.6
- RJ45 Wired
- System config is in the Printscreens attached to this post

Thanks for any help!
Andi

It could be a bug in the 4.19.y kernels

You can try reverting to the last 4.14.y kernel (4.14.98). It just takes a few minutes to install.

Code:
# kernel ver 4.14.98
echo "y" | sudo PRUNE_MODULES=1 rpi-update a08ece3d48c3c40bf1b501772af9933249c11c5b

# cleanup
sudo rm -rf /lib/modules.bak
sudo rm -rf /boot.bak
sudo apt-get clean

sudo reboot

And to go back to 4.19.34

Code:
# kernel ver 4.19.34
echo "y" | sudo PRUNE_MODULES=1 rpi-update 99c274691c07480762dcda91a0ebfe3c4f519307

# cleanup
sudo rm -rf /lib/modules.bak
sudo rm -rf /boot.bak
sudo apt-get clean

sudo reboot

Hi,

Decide to re-image but it made no difference.

If I get the message saying I'm connected to BT I can get back to the main display by turning off the BT device, or to not get the message at all disconnect the device before switching back to local.

It's still a bit hit or miss though.

Cheers.
