Bad quality sound on MoodeAudio 6.x

                        I installed the new MoodeAudio 6.0.0. and rewritten all the settings I had in MoodeAudio 5.x manually, including the equalizer settings. It turned out that now, despite the identical settings, you can't listen to music!
The bass is heavily distorted, there is one big rumble and hoarseness.
I tried to set the output voltage level to -6dB, but it doesn't help!
It seems that the distortions arise via digital rather than analog.
I reduced the equalizer parameters to remove distortion, but then the sound gets flat!
I have started the old MoodeAudio 5.x again and the sound is very pleasant.
I have a question, was there anything combined with the equalizer in the new version 6.0.0?
Was there something changed in the settings of the audio card: HiFiBerry DAC + Pro?
Please help, I can't set the quality of the sound output from MoodeAudio 5.x.

Maybe some of you will try to reproduce the settings from both moodeaudio versions and compare whether the music in 6.x version sounds worse - there are bigger sound distortions (bass)

Please put the sample rate to disabled in the SoX Resampling settings of MPD...

Graphic EQ also a suspect. If you’re just boosting levels it’s easy to introduce distortion. The better approach is to drop the frequencies you don’t want boosted and crank up the volume a bit.

Also what browser is that from? The graphic eq settings screen is broken (should be vertical sliders).

EQ settings from 5.3.1 are identical that on moodeaudio v 6.x.

I will try it, but on moodeaudio 5.3 i have this option enabled and is identical that on v. 6.0

@Jedrek as I wrote in one of your previous posts regarding this problem, I personally don't use EQ of any kind and the sound from both of my players, one a speaker setup and the other a headphone setup is excellent.
Have you tried turning all EQ off, in Moode and elsewhere (bass/treble controls) then listening to the music? Any distortion?
I have a different DAC, but your DAC is a common one, but I can only see this complaint from you.
I know you're saying v5 was ok but v6 is not but they are also based on different versions of Raspbian.

I can't remember which EQ settings I used in Moode 5.x but I can confirm that already with the default settings of the "Hi-Lo Boost Plus"-EQ settings of Moode 6 which Jedreck is using (with modifications), I also have distorted sound with my Justboom Amp Hat.
And Jedreck's settings are even more extreme than the default "Hi-Lo-Boost Plus" ones, which increase the distortion in an ugly way in my environment.

When reducing the three lower bands a little bit compared to the "Hi-Lo Boost Plus" Settings, sound is ok again.

As Swizzle wrote, instead of increasing the EQ levels, use boosting with care and better reduce the frequencies you don't want to boost.


As I currently can't compare to 5.x, I don't know if the sound/distortion is different on 5.x with the same EQ settings. But in general for me the sound quality of 6.x is as good as with 5.x, if the EQ is configured in the way I like the sound.

Different Raspian version - maybe, but MPD is identical.
It seems to me that in version 6, "for good morning" we have a higher level of output sound, so maybe after setting the equalizer as in version 5 there are distortions. However, the change in volume on the analogue side does not change the distortion, they must arise on the digital side.
