The file .mpdignore has to be manually created. Somehow they are in your music directories.

Also, the so called dot files are traeated as hidden files in Linux, Mac OS X etc. They typically don't so up in GUI File manager utilities unless there is an option in the utils to "Show hidden files"

"To exclude a file from the update, create a file called .mpdignore in its parent directory. Each line of that file may contain a list of shell wildcards. Matching files in the current directory and all subdirectories are excluded.
