moOde 5.0 RC1 In-Place Update

I am using the default theme and a picture as background. Ios 12.0.1 and put the webpage as an app on the start screen.

Okay, I can repro this using your settings and a background image, although only in Landscape orientation, not in Portrait.

It doesn't occur on my Nexus 6P phone in either orientation.

I have a clue what's happening but @swizzle  is the CSS guru who will tell us if a solution is possible.
