Sorry, I've been out and about celebrating the graduation of my twin grandkids and their friends from high school.
In the meantime, the RPi2B I set up with stock moOde 5.2 and connected via Ethernet to my LAN has been running for 7 days with its UPnP Client for MPD enabled.
I hacked a script which checked several times a day that this moOde player's UPnP renderer is discoverable on a second computer (connected to the LAN wirelessly as it happens).
As well, whenever I was able I used several apps such as BubbleUPnP on an Android phone and Linn Kazoo /Linn Kinsky on an iPad to test that I could still connect with and control the moOde UPnP renderer.
It all just worked and I still don't know why the interruption to service you are experiencing occurs.
