The note I received from Chicago Electronics stated that they placed initial orders for ~2000 Pi-4's back in early June and have not yet received all the units. This would suggest some sort of supply issue upstream of the resellers.

Since Parnell Farnell is their parent I figured Newark/Element14 would be higher up the food chain but they're waiting too. This isn't the first time that Raspberry Pi Trading has underestimated demand.

Regarding stocked Pi4s - just bought a Pi4 from Buy A Pi in Canada. They only have the 2Gb Pi4 available as a bare board - around CDN$80 with tax and shipping within Canada. They will also ship to the US - hopefully without the tax?

1Gb model only available as part of a kit so more $$. They don’t expect the 4Gb bare board until ‘sometime in August’. 

Now I wait for delivery to my rock from Ontario...
