Would like feedback from others that upgrade from a similar power setup as mine to the Shanti. Thank you
The trick is to avoid introducing too much noise on the clean input of the DigiOne Signature. Using 18650 Lipo batteries accomplish that. A power bank on the other side - it really depends on the brand and how well the power bank is made, but almost all of them, have switching elements which isn't going to help feeding low noise power. Some are very low noise, but most aren't.
I used the stock Allo PSU 5v for 3A, and tried stock Allo PSU 5v, battery pack (6-7v) and iFi iPower for the clean side. The iPower was definitely an upgrade over the using a normal Allo stock PSU for the dirty clean side. For daily radio/pop listening I found that the iFi iPower did a decent job in my setup. (The hassle of switching and recharging batteries makes the family acceptance factor low compared to the small drop in audio quality)
The Shanti performs as well as the battery pack. The Shanti is from my perspective the same listening experience as Allo stock PSU for dirty and Lipo batteries for the clean side. A bit expensive upgrade from battery pack, but well…
But back to your question.
The Shanti is recommended by Allo to the DigiOne Signature:
