[IDEA] Diretta Audio Protocol

Whatever my personal thoughts about the Diretta protocol and its purported benefits, the fact that I can find no technical description* and no open-source code would seem to be a show stopper. 

In the vanishingly small number of Web search hits I got, I see tidbits like this from an October 2018 exchange on the Audiophile Style forum https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topic...-protocol/

Yes we had linux liblary.(company license)

we will release  binary on ALSA Sink and Sync after one month

Company license? Binary blobs? Doesn't sound interesting to a free and open source project like moOde.

Further, I didn't find any independent protocol testing and verification reports. Not encouraging.

Just my 2-cents worth.

I recognize the stance of open source project.

Have you actually had any experience with this 'Audio Protocol'? Have you done any comparisons with 'classic' protocols? Examples, please...

I have no actual experience with the Dirreta protocol, but my friends have  some experienced and many experiences are shown in Japanese audio fan’s community.

One has experienced this protocol with audio network player(DSP-vela) made by sforzato corp.
   
  The blog mentions that the sound by diretta is vivid and freshness compered with upnp connections between DSP-Vela and NAS (fidata HFAS1-X).

Another friend heard mini pc version of diretta, it sounds clear compared with light MPD PC and USB DAC(ES9018).

Now, there is Diretta target pc and DAC 
 (https://www.oliospec.com/shopdetail/000000008167/  ) 
and Diretta host (PC or NAS:Soundgenic) in shop. 

Therefor, many audio fans have experienced diretta protocol.
