I think these auto-discovery protocols often don't do well at detecting when remote resources are not there anymore. Usually you have to reboot the host (Windows, Mac etc) to force it to clears its resource cache and populate it afresh. Also reboot Moode.

You can verify that moOde has removed the Samba share by looking at /etc/samba/smb.conf. The share block for the USB drive should not be present.
