The cards are sandisk. Are there issues with sandisk and raspberry pi?
Lastly I tried Hifiberry OS and I didn't get any errors but I didn't get any audio output either. I've sent a support request to Hifiberry. There may be an issue with the HAT but I am not sure what else I can measure other than supply voltage.
Interchanging the MoOde-built uSD card between different RPis may not be a good idea because of different hardware specification... also the testing should be done FIRSTLY without any HAT DAC using the radio and an external music source (USB flash thumb for instance). Once you are satisfied with the sound obtained by playing back an array of mp3 and flac files (upsampling tests would be relevant too) then you can add the HAT DAC.
Do you have another PSU for using with the RPi /HAT DAC combo?
For ruling out any other problems in the 'chain':
- download a fresh MoOde image
- purchase a brand new 16 GB Class10 Sandisk uSD card
