Bluetooth auto-connection

Would it possible for moode to remember which audio output to use when that device is connected and to automatically switch to that output when the device connects and switch back to local when it disconnects or to the default of a previously connected bluetooth device.
Since every device has a unique MAC address, wouldn't this be possible? 

It would be really nice to be able to easily switch to headphones and back again.
