There have been a lot of security changes in latest Stretch Lite and Linux kernels that are designed to strengthen the overall security of the platform. Samba for example defaults to vers=3.0 and so depending on what ver of Linux the NAS uses the ver= param may need to be added or adjusted in the mount flags. Its probably same for NFS.
