Appreciate the info. As soon as I hear back from MiniDSP ruling out a solution, I will get me either the IQaudio or the one on Audiophonics. Good day to you.
While you are waiting, plug your headphones into the raspberrypi.
The pi people have improved the default line output over the previous 12 months or so and it is now incorporated into the distro.
It won't hurt to try

Yes that is what I been doing up to now. I will admit the dev effort has paid off, but to my ears the SQ lacks the clarity / resolution compared to other HA I have used. Since I don't use the HA-DSP much in my home office, headphone listening is done in my bedroom on my Grado or Sennheiser plugged into the Pi3 running MoOde. The biggest reason I like the HA-DSP is it has the possibility to have 4 different headphones tuned for my specific (significant loss on left) hearing. I have been able to use a phone connected to ha-dsp with BT but that has not been too reliable in the past. Since it has been several month maybe that should be revisited. Will post results of further testing soon.
Thanks again
