One addendum:

At the line "open browser, enter moode.local, hit go":

This use of the .local pseudo-domain almost always works but not with a browser on an Android-based device. 

Entering the preset IP address 172.24.1.1 instead should work on any device including Android-based ones.

Also "open browser, enter moode.local, bob's your uncle." won't work on Android either, solution less simple though since it means discovering what ip your router has assigned (by looking in the DHCP section of your router admin console, or using tools such as Fing).
