Welll,  there is a bit more complexity to it,  it seems.  Bill got back to me,  and I've been reading some posts on his end.  It's not just a simple stream.

Upsides,  it's not supposed to be very complicated.  There would be metadata available, even pictures/album titles.  A separate guy has created a Volumio plug in,  so perhaps a lot of the work is done already:

Hopefully this is enough to give you guys an idea.  Seems that there would need to be some structure needed on the Moode side besides this stuff.  I believe there was a plugin that worked with some Squeezebox or Logitech player as well.  Does sound like it has the potential to have better features than most streams.

Bill also mentions an upcoming API that will be generally released in the coming months,  and sounds like he's willing to work with player suppliers in the mean time.
