Wondering if you might bump up from mpc V 0.31 to mpc V 0.33?
There seems to be some performance benefits for those people who control Moode from the mpc CLI rather than via the web UI
Changelog entries for the last two versions are
0.33 (2019/10/31)
* fix off-by-one bug in "prio" command
* reduce network transfer for "playlist", "ls", "listall"
0.32 (2019/06/11)
* add command "listneighbors"
* reduce network transfer for "search"
* fall back to "Composer" or "AlbumArtist" tag in the default format
* support abstract socket in --host option
Sure, I can bump to latest MPC but I'll have to figure out how to compile it from sources.
