Problem: Audio glitches (dropouts, clicks and pops) using USB DAC plugged to Pi Zero W
#5
Well, my Pi power consumption NEVER goes above 50% CPU 34% memory when playing music. Could it really be this? I've read about people using USB DAC much more powerful that mine and experiencing no issues with Pi Zeros,
That would be too bad, I picked the Pi Zero to embed it in a music player because it consumes next to no power and could run on battery for a long time.

I'm playing the files stored on the SD Card where moOde is installed (I don't have any other solutions yet)
No network performance issues either.

Could it be a mix up between the Linux audio drivers and my DAC? People tend to have weird pops and crackles with this very model on specific configuration, like on some Windows builds or with some phones for instance, perhaps just a compatibility issue?
