seems to work now! screwed everything together again and removed all additional stuff (IR tft display and so on...). Maybe even good to know for you: Im running now completely on latest and (sometimes) greatest RaspbianOS with Kernel 5.10. The only thing missing is enabling SPI (enabling SPI in parallel leads to a kind of a chainsaw pattern visualizing the output on an oscilloscope), but as you wrote its already an unsupported image now.

lol, It actually is good to know that the newer OS and kernel seem to be working. Eventually we'll be migrating.
