You can look through the release notes for the 7 series releases and see several items that could affect SMB and Samba.
- UPD: Automatically detect SMB protocol version
- UPD: Bump to RaspiOS 10.6
- UPD: Bump to Linux kernel 5.4.77 build #1371
Empty SCAN results suggests a network issue thats causing the SMB discovery protocol to be blocked and this would also prolly block the automatic detection of SMB protocol version.
You could try specifying vers= in the mount flags.
