My collection is only 1/4 the size of yours but other users has reported acceptable performance with even bigger collections. Certainly try Tim's suggestions.
I do see two probably unrelated issues in the moodeutl log which should be addressed.
1) The timezone setting suggests you are located in Europe but the WLAN country code is still set to the default "US". While this is apparently working, it's best to set the country code correctly.
2) the CPU is running hot. According to the reported bitmask value it was not being throttled at the moment moodeutl was invoked but it has been throttled at least once since it booted. (IIRC, when it hits the soft-temperature limit the RPi3B+ CPU throttles down from 1.4GHz to 1.2GHz which is not a major slowdown.)
A better cooling solution is called for.
