A newer Linux kernel may resolve this.
Have you thought about making moOde standalone package that could be installed on Ubuntu or maybe just migrate to ARCH Linux which has the latest kernels and drivers? Debian is very outdated in that matter, so not so multimedia too.
Upcoming moOde 8 is a Debian package but there is no free lunch when it comes to separating moOde the application from the underlying OS because of dependencies between moOde and specific versions of OS components and the custom patches we make to improve MPD and several kernel drivers.
For the moOde project RaspiOS has proven to be an excellent OS for audio and offers he widest support for 3rd party software addon's many of which we use and are not available in other Linux distros like Arch.
Feel free to study the repos.

The 8 release will also provide developer documentation that describes how to build and install the moode-player package (or any of the other packages) on RaspiOS Bullseye or optionally generate a complete ISO image containing moOde. You can incorporate whatever customizations and kernel version you desire using the new build tooling but you are on your own as far as testing and troubleshooting goes.

That sounds very well. It was just my thoughts. You are doing a great job. When I hopefully sort out my problem I will donate some money to help the project.
Cheers
