Many in-house-brands ignore linux and use a low cost alternative... Wolfson have been problematic...:-(

You may be better advised to get some sort of Digi-HAT for the Pi and use the Coax/optical inputs on the Rotel ?

Thanks, I am working along that way but still no luck. It seems that I loaded the driver but I can not pick it up by MoOde GUI, oh well I am too weak with Linux. I am amusing Bluetooth for now but I would love to use my PI4 to play my library. maybe Tim will come up with something in the 8.0 version.
