Would that entail running a separate RPi with a screen?
I used to use Router as file server but for quite some time now I use a Pi headless running moOde with music on a USB drive. The Samba share is automatically created when the USB drive is plugged in and it shows up just fine in a SCAN.
The share name is whatever label was assigned to the USB drive. In my case I assigned it the label "VFAT256" indicating it was formatted as VFAT (Fat32) and is 256GB in size. I created a folder named FLAC on the drive and copied one of my collections to it.
When creating a Music Source in Library Config it's listed as HOST/VFAT256 in a SCAN. Then add the folder name FLAC to the Path make a complete Path of HOST/VFAT256/FLAC
I also use the Pi as a Multiroom Sender :-)
