I don't have any spare SD cards to test two versions of moOde in parallel so I'm going to leave it there for now; I already spent several hours on this and I'm out of ideas. It doesn't seem like this problem would be very hard for interested parties to reproduce.
I posted about it on diyaudio and the CamillaDsp dev said "I looked in the link, and my guess is that there is an issue with the alsa_cdsp plugin. I don't know what version of that is used in moOde. Let's wait and see if anyone in the moOde forum has some idea first.".
