[PROBLEM] Tics when playing high-resolution PCM files

I used to connect USB HD to router ad use it as a network source,
but latest versions of moode does not support share SMBv1 anymore,
so I should buy a NAS, but for less money I prefer to buy a Raspberry 4
when it will be available again

Ouch!...you're using a router so old that it does not support current Samba versions ?  
What router and surely there is either an update firmware or cheaper...and more secure !.. to buy a new router than a Pi4 ?

is the router provided by the internet connection provider,

in theory I couldn't use another one.
It's a quite modern and good one, however,
Zyxel VMG8825-B, but no firmware updates that enable sambav2
