Problem: Clearing cache
#7
Thank you I really appreciate your help. Doesn't matter what device I use to access the Moode player (even a newly bought laptop) the cover art doesn't show despite clearing the cache (although everything shows correctly in other players such as usb audio player pro). I've spent a week on this and I'm now thinking this is related to the files/tagging. I use dbpoweramp to rip my CD's & never had a problem before except for when I used to delete things leaving hidden files. I now cut and paste files to remove them. I use mp3tag to tag (very recently updated, could this be a reason?). I've retagged a flac file (that I know shows okay) to look like a problem track and when I rescan the library and regenerate the album cover thumbnail cache it shows correctly. This seems to suggest that the ripped files are corrupt in some way (although they play perfectly with cover art in USB audio player pro, Foobar2000 and every other Windows player I have). I've copied a single problem file to a newly formatted drive (connected to the Raspberry pi server as the only drive) and used a backup of Moodeaudio on the Raspberry pi player and rescanned and no cover art is displayed (track plays perfectly). Tried changing the flac to WAV and back to flac and still no joy. Converted flac to MP3 and rescanned library, still no cover art. Even though I know this isn't the issue I've ordered another copy of the album and I'll rerip. I think I've tried everything now so unless anyone has any other ideas of what I could try next I'll repost when the new CD turns up and I've ripped this. I will upload one of the problem flac files if I still haven't got a resolution with the newly purchased album.
Again I'd like to thank you both for your help.
