I’m curious. What is your sending app/OS/device?

Hello Kent, I'm streaming music from my Poco F3 running Android 12 with the AirMusic application
Hmmm. Looks like the AirMusic app is essentially undocumented.
Taking the bull by the horns, I added it to the gazillion apps on my Google Pixel 3a phone and fired it up. I got it to connect to a moOde 8.2.1 player (but don't get any audio throughput) and looked at the shairport-sync.log. For me, the smoking gun is this line
Code:
0.000632969 "rtsp.c:2609" Type: "User-Agent", content: "iTunes/11.3.1 (Macintosh; OS X 10.9.4) AppleWebKit/537.77.4"
AirMusic is claiming to be an 8-year-old version of iTunes. That's 3 years older than the official release of Airplay 2 so I, for one, am not surprised it doesn't connect properly to moOde's current version of shairport-sync which has been built for Airplay 2 only.
Course I could be wrong but---without documentation---who knows?
Regards,
Kent
