Hi,
I too have an DIY Audiophonics system based on the upgraded version of their ES9038Q2M board (the current one on sale) and their SPCII power management board.
I found back the following document which might be useful for your project : ES9038 connections
I just noticed that Audiphonics provides a board for SPDIF input selection Input selector.
A script would be needed to drive the selection button input...
