Code:# Add UPnP volume sync
moodeutl -A add 1024
sudo reboot
# Remove volume sync
moodeutl -A rm 1024
sudo reboot
I have not applied the hack, and the main moOde web interface volume knob DOES seem to be sync'd to changes made using the Kazoo UPNP Control app ?
Please ignore that. I just tested it again and it does not seem to be the case.. apologies.
Hello,
I made a fresh install of moOde 8.0.2 on a new SD card and could reproduce the problem with my Allo Boss2 DAC setup just by using the virtual volume knob in the moOde's web interface: when you change the volume up or down sometimes it gets muted. With alsamixer I noticed that both Master and Digital were sync'd, I don't know if it is related to this specific problem.
I don't have the problem with my Allo MiniBoss DAC setup.
Thanks,
Romain
I saw this once or twice but the audio device was an Audiophonics 9038 DAC. That suggests the mute issue is not specific to a particular hardware device.
Boss 2 Digital volume is used when playing DoP. Unfortunately the Boss 2 I2S driver does not auto-sync it to Master volume and so in moOde worker daemon its sync'd in the 3 sec job loop. This shouldn't have any bearing on the mute issue. I also noticed that I could make the sync code a bit more efficient :-)
I ran some quick tests on my Boss 2 and am not seeing the mute issue. In your case when it occurs leave the system as-is and do the following:
1. Check alsamixer to see if ALSA volume for Master is zero
2. Check the output of amixer -c0
Master volume front left/right should be [on]
