"A bull in the china shop" is the metaphor which comes to mind.
Another is, "if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging". In this case, you've dug deep enough I suggest the following
1. Flash a new image of moOde to an SD card and boot into moOde.
2. Enjoy the music while you study the moOde and Open Media Vault repos to understand what went wrong when you smashed them together.
