You may want to have a look at the MPD log, it should list the last file parsed BEFORE possibly hitting an error (usually weird metadata).
How big is your library, BTW? A 15K tracks one takes less than a minute with my attached 1TB NVMe, it might take 15/20 minutes on your NAS though...
