For you maybe but not for all our other users. In fact moOde today with it's extensive Audiophile feature set, elegant WebUI, rock solid stability and top notch support is more popular than ever, plus it's Open Source, DIY focussed and totally free :-)
If you want access to Music Services go with one of the nice Chinese streamer boxes for example WiiM, Eversolo, etc. These companies make decent hardware and software, and are able to offer access to all the major Music Services because they are mass market manufacturers that can amortize the licensing costs over hundreds of thousands or millions of units sold.
There is a lot of discussion around these products at ASR https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum...eamers.14/
If you want free player software that (I think) has access to Tidal Music Service then maybe try something like LMS/Squeezelite or PicorePlayer. Their projects have solid reputations for making and supporting excellent quality audio software.
