Since you are playing a PCM 16 bits 44.1 kHz it's expected that your DAC shows what it is receiving.
DSD Native has effect ONLY if you play DSD files on moOde, which otherwise would get converted to PCM.
I'm sorry but I didn't know it depended on the encoding of the file; thanks for the clarification.
