Btw, I happened to be testing a hifiberry dac+adc and no issues with airplay 2. It's always works ok for me.
Maybe someone will be able to repro your issue.
So you think it has something to do with the HiFiBerry? Because if I just select the RPI Headphone out or the HDMI out instead, it still doesn't show "Moode Airplay" on my iPhone.
