You power the board, which in turn powers the Pi, right?
From the logs it's not clear to me why ALSA has no clue about the card.
It looks like somewhere the card is seen, and also MPD expects it on its port 0.
Do you have any additional hardware attached, that might conflict?
Or I better stop conjecturing, and let's wait for somebody more skilled than I am... ;-)
