[SOLVED] Wiring ALPS Rotary

Hi all,

I bought a rotary encoder ALPS EC12E24 in a french ishop Audiophonics to build a volume knob.


My problem is how to wire it ? (on the Alps rotary there are 3 pins and ground)


I understood that I need to use GPIO 23/24

Is somewhere an electronic  layout that shows how to do ?

It has 3 pins as most probably one is the UP, one is the DOWN, and the third is the GND...
Thinking loud, don't take me too seriously. Although this makes some sense to me.
