Wow, that’s a lot of good knowledge and advice. Thank you. The Ali one is on its way, and hopefully that will work with your mods. It would be fun if it did. I got 5.046v from the rpi with a 5v PS. I’ll might try a 5.1v to see if I get more headroom before the LT1963. 
That’s it for now. I’ll report back when the parts are here and ready for testing.
