Dedicate CPU core for MPD

I always want to to know the "how" of such optimisations. By which I mean, what is the noise in the sound output that you hear, and how does that noise get added to the signal by the un-optimised system. In this case, how does multiple cores add the noise? I think if that hypothesis can be formulated, then a test can be devised to measure the effect and thus prove it.
Otherwise we rely on "it sounds better to me", which is fine but is different to "is a more accurate reproduction of the recording", so it all depends I suppose on your desire.
