It's been decades since I spent time in Denmark but I remember my visits fondly.
You have an interesting use case, for sure.
It seems to me that the challenge here isn't moOde itself. Happy you chose it but I think there are several different open-source players which would work equally well.
Rather, the challenge may be the user-interface aspect. Were I you, I'd definitely want first to jury-rig this on the bench to make sure I have the functionality and ergonomics right.
'Course I'm older than the hills (and my opthalmologist confirms my eyes are too) but even when I was your age I wouldn't be able to read a small OLED display somewhere among the tangle of cords on a lighted stage.
Keep us posted on your progress in a new thread. There are plenty of experienced moOde users here who'll happily answer questions.
